Hello, Welcome to my Channel.
I love doing videos on how I build or maintain or install things on anything from cars to bikes to woodworking, just about anything that I have at my house.
I live in Canada so we have different seasons that limits me on what videos I make at different times of the year.
Of course, in the summer you will find mostly outdoor videos on motorcycles, cars, welding... things like that.
In the winter I hibernate indoors and usually do some woodworking, so you will see things like Christmas gifts and the like.
So please Subscribe to my channel and be prepared for a variety of different videos that I'm sure will interest you.
Have a good day.

Honda HRN216 Hour Meter Install
Переглядів 6 тис.2 роки тому
Installing an hour meter to any small engine is a good idea as it lets you know when to do service in order to keep the warrantee valid. This meter also has a built-in tachometer which I find very useful to monitor the state of the motor while in use. The mower that I installed it on is a Honda HRN-216PKCA purchased new in 2022. Failures can happen. Emergency clutch cable repair kits cost about $50. In this video I will show you step by step instructions on how to make your own for a lot less. Don't get stuck on the side of the road because of a broken cable that only cost a couple of dollars. Carry one of these small packages on your bike to help yourself or a fellow rider continue on with their journey. I live in Can...
Motorcycle Jack Modifications
Переглядів 17 тис.3 роки тому
Today I am modifying my motorcycle jack to make it stronger and safer for my bike. I extended the arms and put a more powerful bottle jack on it. I explained in more detail on why I needed to do this in my last video "1500 Pound Motorcycle Jack Warning!" found here: ua-cam.com/video/P5u0Mg0UR7c/v-deo.html
Motorcycle Jack Warning
Переглядів 60 тис.4 роки тому
In this video I show you how this common motorcycle jack is deceiving on its claims of what it can lift. I explain the leverage used and how to calculate the true numbers. For the second time in 8 years the bottle jack has failed. I am going to modify it so it doesn't happen again.
Victory Mirror Extension
Переглядів 3,5 тис.4 роки тому
This mirror extension will raise the left side mirror so it is the same height as the right hand side. I have been wanting to do this for quite some time now, I live in Canada and you simply can't buy these things here, They seem to only be available from the States. WitchDoctors used to sell them but I haven't seen them on their site in a while. The only place I can find them is at Victoryonly...
Sansi Deformable LED Light
Переглядів 8144 роки тому
This is an amazing light from Sansi LED. It is deformable so you can adjust into areas exactly where you need light the most. It draws 60 watts and delivers 6,000 lumens of light output, equivalent to a 400 watt incandescent light bulb. You can find this light on-line here: www.sansiled.com/60w-led-light.html

Motorcycle Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Thank you Paul, excellent video!! 👍👍😎
Wtf bro. What a waste of time
Not really. I showed how to remove the back, how to undo the cables, how to clean the contacts, I also mentioned at least 3 times in the video that this may not work. Thanks for watching.
I loved the footswitch idea.
Very good sir, thank you!
Marvellous! Thank you very much.
how much tire pressure do you run in both the rear car tire and front tire???
I run 33psi in the back tire and 38psi in the front. But that is a personal choice for comfort and handling.
@@PaulPomerleau ok ty your videos are top notch sir. I'm gettin' a touch of... wallowing? around corners at 32 in the rear and 34 in the front. ill try it and see.... ty again.
The 33psi in the back is for a car tire. If I was using a motorcycle tire in the back, I use 40psi. Again, it is a personal choice.
Should the tire be re-balanced after installation? Looks heavy enough to cause a vibration but ???
I have gone through several tires in the 5 years that I have been using these tire pressure sensors and I have never needed to re-balance my wheels. But I guess there is nothing wrong with doing it if you want to. The sensors are 7.6 grams so you can add that amount to the opposite side if you wish.
Great video! But when I try to put the cruise in diagnostic mode the dash light stays on after I release both buttons. (3:03 into the video). I can turn it off, but no other action affects the dash light. Can you tell me what is causing this? Thank you.
Did you disconnect your 2 brake switches and the throttle switch to see if it is caused by one of those? Also check your CHASSIS fuse loacated beside the turn signal fuse. Check it with a meter, not by eye. After that you will have to meter each of the wires on the main cruise connector under the seat.
@@PaulPomerleau Checked everything you said, but the green light wouldn't go off. Finally, I just started unhooking stuff, beginning with my aftermarket LED running/brake indicator lights. BINGO! Although the lights worked properly, there was evidently a malfunction in the control box itself. New box installed and the problem is solved. The reason I didn't immediately find this is because the short was in the box and not contingent upon the power switch being on or off. Only when completely unhooked from the power source did it change. Thank you so much for your videos and you kind willingness to help others. May God bless you and yours'.
Glad you got it working again. I didn't know about your aftermarket LED's. Those definitely cause issues with cruise. I guess from now on I should ask that question when a situation like yours arises. Ride safe and have fun.
Excellent video!!
I hate they quit making them
6 years later and still Gold Jerry!!! New to Victory, own 2 now '14 XC and a '12 Highball you can see on my channel, this video is Invaluable to me!!!!
💚💚💚
Thank you for that clear demo 👍👍👍
That sure looks like it makes that tire change very easy I'm curious what size of car tire is that on that bike?
This is a Bridgestone Driveguard 195/55RF16 run flat tire.
I liked the older style top cover better. This modern one gives the mower a cheaper look.
Why not build the platform and put casters wheels on it? Making a turntable is hard engineering, there is so much weight from bike and rider on it that it will not work or stop working after 2 tries. It's also a see-saw,
"Hard Engineering"... "it will not work or stop working after 2 tries"... Wow. I am still using it after all these years and I have also changed my bike to a 900 pound touring model, and it still works. Look up my Victory oil change video and you will see it in action. Thanks for watching.
Is that a car tire on there?
Yes
Paul, what would you consider a decent price for a beacon original, black?
I am from Canada and things are expensive here. Back in the day, these were a $400 item. Today, if I needed one, I would probably only go as high as $200 for a new one, before looking for something else. But that is just my opinion.
@@PaulPomerleau do you think that beacon light is that much better than the rest of them?
That is a personal choice. I don't normally ride at night, but when I go into a dark underground parking area, I find the Beacon light to be very dim. For me I would not like it at night and would go with something else like a bright white halogen bulb for the low beam and an equivalent temperature LED for the high beam, because LED's are faster to light than halogens when you need your high beams quickly. But again, it's a personal choice.
@@PaulPomerleau I appreciate the information.
Sir, thank you for this video. I struggled for 20 minutes trying to pop that screwed in clip until I got fed up and watched your video. Didn't realize I had to remove the metal clip first! I felt dumb, but I appreciate you taking the time to upload this for all of us dummies.
If my rpm on my Honda hrn 216 is too low how can I adjust it? It is currently at 2,800 rpm’s I would like it to be at 3,180 rpm’s for a better cut quality. I’ve already sharpened the blades and clean the deck and I am currently not happy with the cut quality.
You have to bend slightly the Governor Spring Tab. Right will increase the governor spring tension and the engine speed. Left with decrease the governor spring tension and the engine speed. See figure 3-21 in the service manual.
Thank you 👍👍
Well done sir! Thank you!
How often do I need to change the oil on this lawn mower?????? Anybody know?
The manual says the very first 5 hour mark or after the first month of use, then every 50 hours or every 6 months after that.
@@PaulPomerleau thanks for the info bro
Will engine check light on?
If your O2 sensors have 4 wires, (I think they are only on 2015 and later models). 2 of wires will be for heaters which is monitored by the ECU and will throw a light if not detected. You will either have to disconnect the single black sensor wire from the harness and leave the heater wires alone, or unplug the sensor all together and replace with a bypass plug which is available online. Hope this helps.
My CubCadet LT46 has an elapsed time meter to indicate when to do what. With a full pressure oil system and filter, it greatly improves the oil's service life and keeps the engine internals clean. For powered lawn/generator equipment, my gear receives oil changes at the end of the season to have a fresh oil installed for storage. BUT, all things considered, spend the whopping 5-7 bucks per quart for Valvoline 10W-30 FULL SYNTHETIC, (OR 24 dollars for FIVE QUARTS), and change yearly.... Don't be so ^nal that you fret for being 4/10 of an hour over the "schedule".... Once a year - Just do it....
You must be an American. For the rest of us in the world, it is either not available in our location, or very expensive. I will stick with what the manual says, thank you very much.
Came across your video while trying to make a decision about what bike to use as a tow vehicle for my motorcycle camper that I inherited and you made my decision for me. The CCT has the simplest install I’ve seen for a hitch. Will be contacting the maker on FB soon. Do you have any idea what the tow rating is of the hitch? Stay safe!!!!
I have only towed lightweight cargo trailers for tent camping and such, or connected a metal rack onto it for a cooler. The seller of the hitch would probably be able to give you better numbers. Thanks for watching and be safe.
Smart man. Have all the good tips. Perfect concise video. Thanks!
Get the puck off the ice !!
Thank you so much. You are a great teacher. God bless.
I thought alexa going ti repair 😢😢
5 hours, ruh roh haha
Honda says the very first oil change should be at 5 hours. After that, every 50 hours.
@@PaulPomerleau oh phew I definitely did that, the break in. I’m on sustainability now haha
Thanks, I got stuck doing this, your pointers were very valuable.
Awesome video thanks man
Is it the same direction to tighten on both sides of the bike?
For the adjusters? Yes.
Well done video. Clearly explained, right to the point. Thank you!
Thanks a lot, this video helped so much
Thank you for this video. Helped point me in the right direction to fix the throttle cancel.
Great video👍 what jack are you using? Thank you 😎
This one is the basic motorcycle jack from Canadian Tire, but lots of other places sell the same one.
@@PaulPomerleau Thank you, I've just purchased a Craftsman that had only been used twice. Getting ready to cut a 3/4-in piece of wood. We had just picked it up and was a little unsure on jacking the bike up.. I think your video will help me immensely especially going in at an angle and adding that block of wood, again thank you very much 👍👍😎
Great tip but theres a problem.... I live in Brazil, no pucks around....
What motorcycle tire changing machine is that? Link?
It comes from Harbor Freight Tools. Tire changer www.harborfreight.com/manual-tire-changer-58731.html you also need the motorcycle adapter that they used to sell but I don't see it anymore.
Didn't work. Got 5/8" ID and 3/4" OD clear tubing about same length as in video. It was a tight fit to get it into the tank once past the opening and would only go in toward right and rear of tank. Wouldn't go into tank and other way. It got about 1/2 gallon out and stopped. The tank (4.5 gallons) was completely full, having filled it to the rim for winter storage - hasn't been de-winterized/ridden yet. Tried everything, including putting bike up straight, not on side stand. No luck. I can see gas looking toward left inside tank but can't access it with tube. Will try thinner tube tomorrow or just take tank off with gas left in it - it's an '09 Sportster and has gas valve that shuts off gas flow automatically if detach gas line. Good thing! If anyone has any ideas about what's going on or any suggestions it would be most welcome. Thanks
Hey Mate, use a funnel to fuel up the oil... ...it's mutch easer!
Interesting and informative. Where in Canada? Unless you're coastal BC you can only motorcycle 4 or 5 months a year. Lots of time to wrench and polish.
should preface this video by saying it didn’t work!
This is great ! You've eliminated all my concerns about doing this. Thank you so much.
Thank for this great video. So easy!
Imagine getting used engine oil in the home vacuum cleaner. Explain that to the wife.
This video is 11 years old and it’s still the best on UA-cam! Thank you for the straight forward explanation.
super great video. Did exactly what you did. You made it a breeze in a short concise vid with excellent information. Thank You. Subbed.
